  • 2014 Green Market Festival

    Join us for the 3rd annual Green Market Festival on Sunday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Farmer's Daughter and Landscape Creations of RI, 715-716 Mooresfield Road (Route 138), South Kingstown, RI.

    This year's event will be bigger and better than ever, with activities for the whole family including Hands on Demonstrations ~ Family Fun Activities, Exhibits & Vendors ~ Live Music ~ Learn from the Experts ~ Green Businesses ~ Great Food ~ Big Nazo Puppets ~ Story Telling ~ BoldrDash

    In "Learn from the Experts" landscape professionals will offer workshops on a variety of topics -- stay tuned for a complete listing once the schedule is finalized!

    There is ample free on-site parking. Admission costs $10 adults / $5 age 12-18 / under 12 Free / $25 max. per family (4+)

    New this year will be BoldrDash,New England’s premiere military-style obstacle course race that tests your strength and stamina with obstacles designed to meet all fitness levels – elite to beginner. There will be two separate courses, one for adults and another for children. Stay tuned for registration information for BoldrDash.

    It was a perfect day on Sun., Aug. 11 for our 2nd annual Green Market Festival. Exhibitors and participants alike had a great time - and there was something for everyone, with lots of good information, activities for young & old alike and delicious food.

    With even more attendees this year - and lots of family-oriented activities, we would call this event a great success!

    The Green Market Festival will offer something for everyone and will showcase the best of Rhode Island's green traditions!

    At the interactive exhibits you can:

    • Learn what it feels like to be an arborist by being hoisted up a tree or in a bucket truck
    • Discover how to install a backyard native plant habitat while learning how to clean and plant native seeds
    • Play golf on a putting green just like one you would find on a RI certified green golf course!
    • And more!

    You’ll find vendors offering a full range of horticultural and agricultural products … plus demonstration and educational exhibits, with something of interest for every age group.

    There will be food and activities throughout the day...even some music to liven things up!
